This Brazilian Lemonade (Limeade)has just the right balance between sweet and sour. Sweetened Condensed milk and the use of the lime skin make for the most delicious, creamy, frothy lemonade ever.
Cut just 1 of the limes in half and squeeze out the juice. It should yield approximately 3 tablespoons of juice. Reserve.
Cut the other 2 limes into 4 wedges (lengthwise) and remove the seeds and pith from the center, with a knife.
Put the lime wedges in a blender and add the water. Beat for approximately 7 seconds or press the "pulse" button a few times.
Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove rinds.
Return the lime juice to the blender and add the condensed milk, reserved lemon juice, ice and sugar. Beat until everything is mixed.
Serve it chilled.
Notes
If you plan to consume it in more than 5 hours, I suggest you to squeeze all the limes and use only the juice, instead of blending the whole limes. ***Limes and ice cubes can vary greatly in size (taste buds also vary, right?!😉). So feel free to add more lemon juice, more water or even more sugar, according to your taste. For your reference, the limes I used in this recipe yielded approximately 3 tablespoons of juice each, and the ice cubes were small.
